Farming Necro advice?
I've been reading through some of the topics here and ive decided to make a Necro for PvE, namely Farming, i was thinking going half Blood half Death so i both have minions, and can also utilize some party buffing spells and also be able to deal some damage myself, my questions are:
1. Where is a good place for Necro's to farm, UW, SF, FoW or other?
2. What is a likely build i should use? Battery? MM? Spike? i was hoping for a combo of all theese
P.S. I dont want to go curses, i tried making a curse necro before, and it was incredibly boring for me
Thanks for any help in advance

Im assuming here that you plan on solo farming, so some variation of a 55 build would be best in my opinion...ss, dark aura, etc. Since you mention curses seem to bore you, try a dark aura build, gives you alot more to do than a ss build. Theres a whole thread for 55 necro you can refer to. Solo farming as an mm is not something I do often except for ettins...just havent had much luck with it elsewhere. Also wouldnt recomend trying to combine different builds as you just become downright ineffective trying to be more than one thing. Not saying having complimentary skills that use different attributes is bad, just dont try to do everything or you wont be able to do anything.

But dont you have to be right up close for Dark Aura to work?

How else would you plan on soloing? o_O There's no one for the monsters to attack but you.
For group farming, necros can work in SF well.

You could. You won't actually KILL anything though.

Really you dont think your minions will do enough dmg on top of what other spells you use? (putrid explosion to name one)

Well, Necros can go good in SF very well, my friend goes in sf with her necro, comes out withlike 6 greenies then she sells them or uses them(depending if it is usable by one of her charas). If she sells them she gets around 80k-100k most of the time and buys armors and good weps for her other chara's at low lvls cause she cant play the game and cant get her own money on her own charas and. ahh!! nvm im just jealous.
LUCKILY!!! I got my necro to 20 and i wont be to jealous these days mwhahah!!!! >_>""
Also. How canyou put a Battery, MM, and a spiker in one build? Impossible so cancel out that last statement in Question 2. TY and good night..NO I SHALL NOT TELL YOU HER NECRO BUILD! she told me though >_> mwhahah!!!!

to the OP, you cannot mix death magic with anything. if u go death, its for an MM build, which u will max out to 16, and get a specific set of armor for (scar pattern with +1 death and bloodstained boots). for me, MMing is the funnest way to play. i just love building my own army and watching the pwn all enemies, as well as shielding me from attacks.... obviously, like most good MM's, u will still put something in blood for OOB and maybe BR for another team member, but the vast majority of ur time, energy and efforts will be strictly on making an army.... and of the 3 chars i've played with, Warrior, Monk and Necro and done many different builds with each, MMing is by far the easiest way to play, as you can complete all missions in the game with henches with ur MM, up until last 2 missions that dont have many corpses (in which case u switch to SS for a lil bit).
1. depends on ur build, Necros can go to UW as SS/BR/SV/Echo/shivers, etc build in 2 man teams, as well as battery's in bigger teams. battery's are also in demand for FOW, but not SS as much, and definitely not MM.... MMing is great in SF and Tombs, as is Orders in Tombs (but Orders is really boring to me)
2. sorry, u cant really "combo" completely separate builds, lol, but u can experiment with each. if u want to be an elite SS and an elite MM, you will even need different sets of armor for each with different runes, and different weapons. Battery is an easy build to pull, doesnt require anyting "elite", as well as Orders for tombs.

MMing is easiest of the necros to play but one of the hardest to "Master" the amount of subpar MMs I see in tombs and sf is sickining.

I hear that. MM is easy to pickup but takes a lot of time to master.

i concur, but i do for every profession and build, lol... since i have a warrior, monk and necro, i see the same subpar performances by 95% of tanks, monks, and necros.
